The Calgary Winter Club is Calgary’s premier private family Club, situated in northwest Calgary on the edge of Nose Hill Park. The CWC offers an outstanding employee experience; we are firm believers that everyone should enjoy their work and have a successful work-life balance.
We are looking to fill a part time Choirmaster for our 55+ choir. This person will have the ability to create a positive, inclusive and respectful environment with patience, enthusiasm and a positive attitude. This position will lead 17-20 rehearsals a year (Friday mornings 10:30-12pm)
Tasks to be performed:
· Lead 17-20 rehearsals annually (2 Friday mornings each month, 10:30 am – 12 pm)
· Plan and lead two annual concerts (Christmas Luncheon and early summer event) and support additional musical events
· Select and teach repertoire
· Collaborate with the accompanist
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
· Collaborative and community-oriented approach
· Passion for choral music and community engagement
· Familiarity with diverse choral repertoire
