Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our busy medical clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional support to both patients and healthcare professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, experience with electronic medical records, and proficiency in managing front desk operations. Most importantly, the candidate should fully embrace our patient-centric approach to service.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the office.
- Phlebotomy Experience / Credentials is an asset but not necessary.
- Manage multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems such as OSCAR.
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Process patient information efficiently while adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
- Support billing and insurance verification processes as needed.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
- Experience
- Minimum 2 years Previous experience in a medical office setting is a must, with a strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (Oscar) is highly desirable.
- Proven administrative experience with an emphasis on front desk operations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
