At Neufeld Woodworks a general cabinetry shop labourer assists joiners by prepping materials, assembling basic cabinet components, and managing shop inventory
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport raw materials (lumber, MDF, plywood) around the shop.
· Assembly: Assembling cabinet boxes, drawers, including installing hardware.
· Machine Operation: Safely operate basic woodworking or cutting machinery under supervision.
· Quality Control: Inspect parts and completed items to ensure they meet basic quality standards.
· Maintenance: Keep the shop floor clean and dispose of wood dust, scrap, and debris to maintain a safe environment.
· Shipping & Delivery: Pull cabinet orders for delivery, packaging and loading orders for shipping. When needed will assist with a delivery.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· Physical Stamina: The role requires frequent standing, bending, lifting heavy materials, and working in a fast-paced environment.
· Mechanical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of how to safely handle hand tools, power tools, and tape measures.
· Safety Mindset: Awareness of shop safety protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
· Reliability: Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a crew.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Shop hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
- This job requires frequent heavy lifting.
- Requires wearing PPE
MUST BE CANADIAN RESIDENT TO APPLY
MUST HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE WITH TOOLS (please indicate experience with tools on resume either from a job or hobby)

Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
