Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Ideal POS, ensuring proper entry and communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld in all aspects of service, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities while providing knowledgeable recommendations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, tables, and service stations in accordance with sanitation guidelines
- Provide guest services that promote a positive dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally
Skills
- Experience with POS systems such as Ideal POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality excellence
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills
- Basic math skills for accurate order entry, billing, and cash handling
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food industry standards for serving, upselling, and guest services
- Ability to work well within a team while maintaining professionalism under pressure
Pay: $16.00-$16.50 per hour
