Salary: $50,000–$85,000+ (commensurate with experience)

Our client, a well-established and growing Vancouver law firm, is seeking a Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join its busy Family Law practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional who enjoys a blend of administrative and substantive legal work while supporting a collaborative, client-focused team.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional client service in a fast-paced practice.

Prepare, draft, format, and proofread legal correspondence, court documents, pleadings, financial statements, and other family law documentation.

Manage lawyer calendars, schedule client meetings, court appearances, mediations, and examinations.

File documents with the BC Supreme Court and Provincial Court using applicable filing procedures.

Maintain electronic and physical client files, including opening, organizing, and closing files.

Track limitation dates, court deadlines, and other critical file milestones.

Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court registries, and third parties.

Assist with document collection, organization, and disclosure.

Prepare billing, time entries, and other administrative tasks as required.

Provide general legal and administrative support to lawyers and the broader team.

Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or in a hybrid legal support role.

Previous family law experience is considered a strong asset.

Solid understanding of BC Supreme Court and Provincial Court procedures and filing requirements.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
