Accounting Clerk I (Accounts Payable)
Finance Department
One (1) Temporary Position – minimum 15-month contract
Competition No. C1080-26 ACCI (I)
As a member of the Finance Department, these positions may be responsible for the following:
- Completes Accounts Payable functions efficiently and accurately on behalf of NLC
- Prepares timely and accurate coding of invoices
- Investigates and communicates any discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders and receiving reports and ensures the appropriate approval of invoices;
- Processes the weekly payment run and ensures payment terms are being adhered to;
- Responds to supplier, customer and employee inquiries in a timely manner
- Completes month end procedures
- Prepares and distributes reports periodically
- Provides support to other members of the Finance Team
- Other finance related functions as required
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized two (2) year accounting diploma or three (3) year business diploma from a post-secondary institution
- One to two years of progressively responsible accounting experience in a computerized environment
- Some experience using the Microsoft Dynamics Financial System
- Knowledge of MMS, POS systems and Data Warehouse (BI Cube)
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

Salary: CG 25 - $44,153.20 - $48,612.00 annually
