Job Description:
* Responsible for installing firestop systems in commercial and residential buildings in compliance with fire safety codes and standards.
*Install firestop materials in joints, penetrations, and openings within walls, ceilings, and floors according to manufacturer specifications, engineering guidelines and regulatory requirements.
* Utilize various materials, including sealants, spray coatings, collars and intumescent devices, for effective sealing.
* Engage in communications on site and documentation of all relevant site related issues.
* Maintain communication with DwellSafe Project Manager and ensure accountability for assigned duties.
* Adhere to DwellSafe Policies and site schedules.
* Review, complete and transmit all necessary information and documentation required.
Skills:
* Technical Skill: proficiency in use of firestop materials and installation techniques; basic understanding of architectural and engineering drawings.
* Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality to ensure firestop systems function as intended.
* Problem-Solving: ability to identify problems and propose effective solutions in a timely manner.
* Communication Skills: effective verbal and written communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and management.
* Physical Fitness: ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying materials, working at heights, and using ladders and scaffolding.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
* Review and Sign off on all daily / weekly Safety Documents, including performing daily / weekly safety meetings and tailgate meetings.
* Monitor assigned duties for compliance with scope of work.
* Ensure all extra time is communicated with Project Manager and do not complete any out of scope or sequence work without approval in writing from Management.
* Other Duties as required.
Salary:
* Depends on experience and education.
Schedule:
* 8-10 hour shift
*Monday - Friday, possible evenings and weekends.

Experience:
* Experience spraying and or caulking would be of great benefit
* 1 year experience preferred
* AWP and Fall Protection Certification necessary.
