Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Pipe Layer to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing underground piping systems that support infrastructure projects such as water, sewer, gas, and electrical utilities. Your expertise will help ensure the safe, efficient, and precise placement of pipes, contributing to the successful completion of large-scale development initiatives. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to determine pipe layout and installation procedures.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and bucket loaders to excavate trenches and prepare sites for pipe installation.
- Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, fitting, welding, and securing pipes accurately according to project standards.
- Perform rigging tasks to lift and position pipes safely during installation processes.
- Install underground piping systems with attention to detail, ensuring proper alignment, slope, and connection points.
- Conduct routine inspections of installed pipes for leaks or defects and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Maintain a clean worksite by managing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and other construction equipment.
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems or electrical work is a plus; familiarity with low voltage wiring is beneficial.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and rigging techniques for pipe installation.
- Ability to operate specialized equipment including low voltage electrical tools and bucket trucks safely and efficiently.
- Prior experience working with heavy equipment operation in construction or utility projects.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy machinery operation and underground utility installation.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
