Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. The Certified Dental Assistant will support the dental team in delivering comprehensive dental services while ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD imaging technology
- Manage patient records accurately within Epic and Dentrix software systems
- Provide patient education on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
- Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment and explaining procedures in an age-appropriate manner
- Ensure all clinical areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program
- Proficiency in dental assisting procedures and knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization techniques
- Prior experience working as a Dental Receptionist or in administrative support is a plus
- Commitment to ongoing professional development to stay current with industry best practices
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
