Sitka Music School is currently looking for an enthusiastic and upbeat Singing Teacher for 3 days a week to start in September 2026. Hours are typically afternoon/evening. We also are looking to hire a piano teacher as well, so if you can also teach beginner level piano and would be interested in teaching more days this teaching position could be up to 5 days a week. We are happy to train/mentor new teachers who might not have taught lessons before but have the skills/level needed to teach.
Must enjoy working with kids and be capable of creating a nurturing and encouraging learning space for all students of all levels. Our singing students enjoy learning a variety of music from Pop, to Rock, to Musical Theatre and more. Our singing program isn't focused on Classical or RCM training. We encourage our singing students to learn music that inspires them and this is typically what is popular and mainstream today. There are also opportunities to organize weekly music groups, performance groups, and workshops through the school year, if you wish to, as well.

We offer a competitive wage (based on experience and qualifications) per hour, not per student so you have guaranteed hours.
