We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative Registered Psychologist to join our growing team.
This is an opportunity to practice in an integrated environment where your focus remains on delivering exceptional psychological care while working alongside Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Counsellors, Physiotherapists, Veteran Advocates, Case Managers, and administrative professionals committed to a common mission.
Position Summary
The Registered Psychologist will provide evidence-based psychological assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation for veterans experiencing a broad range of mental health concerns.
Psychologists at SafeHouse BC work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary model to ensure clients receive comprehensive, coordinated care that addresses both psychological and physical health needs.
Services may be delivered in person, virtually, or through a hybrid model.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments.
- Diagnose mental health disorders within the psychologist's scope of practice.
- Complete psychological reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare providers.
- Participate in case consultations and coordinated care planning.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation.
- Adhere to all professional, ethical, legal, and privacy standards.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be registered and in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC) as a Registered Psychologist, or be eligible for registration prior to commencing employment.
- Hold a doctoral degree in psychology or another qualification accepted by CHCPBC for registration.
- Carry professional liability insurance.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Demonstrate excellent clinical judgement, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is considered an asset:
- Military and Veteran mental health
- RCMP and Public Safety Personnel
- Operational Stress Injuries
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Trauma-focused therapies
- Anxiety and mood disorders
- Chronic pain
- Moral injury
- Psychological assessment
- Veterans Affairs Canada disability assessments
