We are a growing job-shop environment specializing in custom, precision-machined components across a wide range of industries. We are looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist who can confidently set up and run Fanuc-based multi-axis lathes (2–6 axis).
This is not an entry-level role. We need someone who can hit the ground running, problem-solve independently, and take full ownership of their machine. Typical run are from 1 part to 25 parts. Setup for high volume runs and instruct and aid machine operators during production runs.
This position is open only to candidates who are currently legally eligible to work in Canada. No work permit sponsorship is available.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Fanuc-based multi-axis CNC lathes
- Perform tool touch-offs, work offsets, tool selection, and machine setup
- Run production ranging from single parts to batches of 500
- Maintain tolerances of ±0.0005"
- Work with a wide variety of materials:
- Mild steel, alloy steel, tool steel
- Stainless steels
- Aluminum
- Plastics
- Exotic alloys
- Troubleshoot issues and solve problems independently
- Work unattended when required
- Interpret drawings and apply knowledge of GD&T and surface finishes
- Adapt to a fast-paced job-shop environment with constant new and repeat parts
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating and setting up multi-axis CNC lathes
- Strong English communication skills
- Solid understanding of CNC lathe setup procedures
- Macro knowledge required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings
Assets (Not Required)
- Lathe programming (including live tools and milling toolpaths)
- Mill-turn machining experience
- Knowledge of CNC milling machines
- Picture portfolio of past work
- Knowledge of collaborative robot (Universal Robots) programing
- Experience with LNS barloaders

Schedule
- Day Shift(7am-4pm)
- Afternoon Shift (2pm -11pm)
Afternoons preferred. No rotations
