Duties
- Welcome guests with professionalism and warmth
- Guide guests through the omakase dining experience
- Explain ingredients, preparation techniques, and seasonal menu offerings
- Describe fish varieties and Japanese culinary traditions
- Recommend sake, wine, and beverage pairings
- Identify dietary restrictions and allergies
- Prepare beverages including tea, sake, and wine
- Serve food and beverages with proper etiquette and timing
- Maintain immaculate table presentation throughout service
- Process payments accurately using the POS system
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room and service stations
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen to ensure seamless service
- Deliver personalized hospitality that exceeds guest expectations
Skills
- Previous fine dining or upscale restaurant experience preferred
- Exceptional guest service skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of wine and sake is an asset
- Experience with POS systems
- Cash handling experience
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to memorize menu items and daily features
