Lindan Equities Ltd – Controller
Primary Focus
This hands-on Controller role involves overseeing the accounting functions for a portfolio of over 50 related companies, which vary in size, industry, and operations. The successful candidate will support the accounting processes for these entities.
The Controller is responsible for ensuring timely financial reporting, mentoring and developing the accounting team, and providing support to the Director of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
· Manage all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, tax and treasury
· Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability
· Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders
· Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP/ASPE
· Manage relationships with external auditors
Leadership and Team Management:
· Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
· Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the finance team
Operational Efficiency:
· New company set ups on Sage 50 and QuickBooks Online
· Assist with conversions from Sage 50 to QuickBooks Online
· Respond to inquiries from Director of Finance and other members of the management team
· Other duties as assigned
Reporting Relationships
- Reports to Director of Finance
Schedule
- Monday to Friday - 8:30am - 4:30pm (or an approved variation)

Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- CPA certification strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience as a Controller or in a similar senior accounting role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail
- Effective leadership and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience working with Sage 50 and QuickBooks Online is required
Education Requirements
- Accounting Designation (CPA, CPA-CA, CPA-CMA, CPA-CGA)

Pay: $110,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
