Job Overview:
Under the direction of the Games Manager/Supervisor/Pit Boss, the Table Games Dealer is responsible for dealing cards to guests in accordance with Alberta Gaming Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC) Terms and Conditions while providing excellent customer service.
Must be over the age of 18 and able to provide a clean police clearance.
This position is casual and will be evening and weekend shifts. This is a fixed term position ending in August 2027.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Welcomes guests to the table and deal cards as per AGLC Terms and Conditions.
Responds to guest issues and escalate as required.
Monitors chips and cash and ensures the integrity of the game.
Observes problematic guest behaviors and reports to the Supervisor as required.
Is a great team player and exemplify outstanding guest service, to both internal as well as external guests.
Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with guests, ownership, employees, the AGLC and the community and charitable organizations.
Ensures compliance with AGLC policies.
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
Promotes and maintains the highest levels of integrity and customer service.
Ensures outstanding guest service by responding promptly to guest needs and requests for service.
Follows and supports the core values of the company.
Other duties as required.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to speak English is mandatory. Ability to fluently speak additional languages is an asset.
Job Requirements:
Ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The hours of work will be based on operational needs.
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Stand/sit – Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the shift.
Walk – Must be able to occasionally move about inside the Casino.
Use of hands/fingers – must be able to use both hands to deal cards, pay chips, etc.
Talk/hear – must be able to detect, determine, identify, observe, inspect, and assess. This positions frequently communicates with guests and employees throughout the entirety of the shift. Must be able to exchange accurate information and professionalism in these situations. Visual acuity of at least 20/40 in either or both eyes with or without corrective lenses.
Works in an indoor, fast-paced environment.
Advanced attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
