Licensed Practical Nurse
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Responsible for witnessing ingestions and dosing medications in a care facility
- Participate in discharge planning activities, ensuring patients have appropriate follow-up care arrangements
- Familiarity with medical coding systems for accurate documentation and billing purposes
Experience:
- Must be a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in Alberta
- Must have at least two (2) years of direct experience
- Proven experience providing patient care in a mental health capacity is preferred
- Previous experience working with OAT medications and the use of Narcan is preferred
- Proven experience working in Home Care environment
- Experience working independently is preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with health coaching principles and strategies
