Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, with experience in both dealership and independent shop environments. This role requires proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as a solid understanding of mechanical systems. The Auto Body Technician will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform body repairs on vehicles, including frame straightening, panel replacement, and paint refinishing.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs.
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair jobs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate with service advisors regarding repair timelines and any additional work needed.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive repair techniques and technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role in a dealership or automotive repair setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle issues.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to auto body repair.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the repair process.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- A valid driver's license is required.
