Job Overview
The Production worker is responsible for operating equipment and preparing food items for distribution. Some requirements for a production worker involve overseeing raw meat preparation and ensuring all machinery runs smoothly.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Key Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Set up of mixer, flaker, vat dumper, emulsifier
· Setup of buggies
· Rinse machine down at end of day/ take garbage out throughout day
· Work a station on the line
· Fill out paper work, what is on the tables, recording of time study’s
· Recording of waste throughout the day
· Prepping the skins for each table
· Oversee product that comes out of mixer, pep meat buggy’s out of mixer
· Organization of empty buggies and tables
· Ensure scales are setup and accurate
· Maintain a food-safe production environment while on shift ensuring all GMP's are met
· Ability to work with numerous departments and communicate effectively among them
· Ensure continuous running of machines throughout shift
· Additional assignments as directed
· Ensure that lines are set up with proper equipment and ready to go at start up
· All government regulations and customer specifications are met
· Communicate with Manager, Supervisor, and others to make sure product is
being run correctly
· Be aware of any safety hazards, following all safety and OHS requirements
· Ensure all production reports are completed properly and turned into Managers/QC office in a timely manner
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
