About the Role
The Iskut Band Council is seeking a highly organized and discreet Executive Administrative Assistant to the Chief and Council to provide high-level coordination and governance support to elected leadership. Reporting directly to Chief and Council (with administrative coordination through the Executive Director), you will be the central link between governance and administration, ensuring that Council direction is clearly documented, communicated, and followed through without gaps or duplication.

Key Responsibilities
Governance & Council Support
- Coordinate and schedule Chief and Council meetings (regular, special, and committee).
- Prepare agendas in collaboration with the Chief, Council, and Executive Director.
- Record and maintain accurate minutes, resolutions, and decision records.
Administrative & Office Coordination
- Manage calendars, correspondence, and meeting logistics for leadership.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to Reception and Administrative staff within the Band Office.
- Ensure front-office functions are professional, organized, and responsive.
Communication & Liaison
- Serve as the key point of contact between the Chief and Council, administration, and external parties.
- Communicate Council decisions to the Executive Director and relevant Directors.
Confidentiality & Records Management
- Handle sensitive information with a high degree of discretion.
- Maintain secure records, including bylaws, policies, and resolutions.
Follow-Up & Implementation
- Track decisions and action items from Council meetings.
- Coordinate with the Executive Director and Directors to monitor follow-up and implementation.
Logistics & Events
- Coordinate travel, accommodations, and logistics for Chief and Council.
- Support community meetings, events, and engagement sessions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary education in office/business administration (or equivalent experience).
- Experience supporting senior leadership or governance bodies.
- Experience with First Nations or Indigenous organizations is an asset.
- Strong understanding of administrative systems and office procedures.

Pay: $85,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
