Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, caring, and responsible Home Child Care Provider to assist with daily care for 4 children (ages 0-5) in a private household. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment and support children’s daily routines and activities. Experience independently caring for a multi-age group of children (up to 4) simultaneously, including infants between 0-24 months, is required. Certification and/or relevant experience in Early Childhood Education in an asset.

Responsibilities
- Change diapers
- Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Prepare infants and children for rest periods
- Supervise and care for children
- Tend to emotional well-being of children
Requirements
- At least 1 year of childcare experience
- Experience independently caring for a multi-age group of children (up to 4) simultaneously, including infants between 0-24 months
- Ability to work independently in a private household
- Good communication skills
- Basic meal preparation skills
- Reliability, patience, and good judgment
- Must provide a clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Language: English
Assets (Not Required)
These are optional qualifications that will strengthen an application but are not mandatory:
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificate
- Experience supporting preschool learning or home-based educational activities
Work Conditions
