Business Analyst – Healthcare / PHIPA

We are seeking a Junior Business Analyst with healthcare, privacy, and documentation experience to support digital health and healthcare information initiatives. The ideal candidate will have exposure to PHIPA, personal health information, consent, privacy workflows, and Health Information Custodian concepts.
Must Haves
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Junior Business Analyst, or Business Systems Analyst
- Knowledge or exposure to PHIPA, healthcare privacy, personal health information, or consent-related processes
- Understanding of Health Information Custodian — HIC concepts is an asset
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements
- Experience preparing or supporting:
- BRDs / SRDs
- User stories
- Process flows
- Meeting notes
- Traceability matrices
- Test scenarios
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with business, privacy, healthcare, and technical stakeholders
- Must be available to work onsite/hybrid in Toronto, Ontario
Responsibilities
- Support requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders
- Document business requirements, process flows, and user stories
- Assist with healthcare privacy, consent, and personal health information workflow documentation
- Support analysis related to HIC, PHIPA, access management, and privacy requirements
- Maintain requirements traceability, action logs, and documentation updates
- Assist with testing, defect tracking, and business validation
- Prepare clear documentation, summaries, and meeting notes
- Work closely with senior BAs, privacy teams, business teams, and technical delivery teams
Nice to Have
- Ontario healthcare or public sector experience
- Experience with Ontario Health, hospitals, clinics, or digital health systems
- Knowledge of PHIPA, consent, access management, audit, or privacy workflows
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio, SharePoint, or Microsoft Office
- Exposure to Agile projects
Pay: $50,005.42-$110,558.51 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON (Toronto District)
