Responsibilities
- Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces before painting.
- Repair cracks, holes, and other surface imperfections using suitable materials.
- Apply primers, paints, and other finishes with brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Mix and match paints to achieve the required colours, textures, and finishes.
- Install wallpaper and apply other decorative finishes when required.
- Measure, cut, and apply coatings according to project specifications.
- Protect surrounding areas and surfaces during painting work.
- Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow all workplace health and safety regulations and procedures.
Employment Requirements
- Completion of secondary school is an asset.
- Previous experience as a construction painter or in a related position is required.
- Ability to work at heights and in varying environmental conditions.
- Good knowledge of painting methods, materials, and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience applying multi-colour finishes.
- Knowledge of powder coating and dipping techniques.
- Experience operating paint-spraying equipment.
Working Conditions
- Work will take place at various construction sites.
- The position is physically demanding and involves standing, climbing, bending, and lifting.
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors and in different weather conditions.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday.
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
