The Opportunity
As Director of Operations, you will oversee the day-to-day execution of our field operations while building the systems, processes, and culture that allow Aquazen to continue growing.
You will work directly with the President and will have significant influence over how the company operates.

What You'll Be Responsible ForField Operations
- Oversee all active projects
- Coordinate field crews and project schedules
- Ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably
- Monitor production timelines
- Remove operational bottlenecks before they impact customers
Scheduling & Resource Planning
- Crew scheduling
- Vehicle allocation
- Equipment planning
- Emergency dispatch
- Vacation planning
- Labour utilization
Operational Excellence
- Develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Create scalable workflows
- Implement continuous process improvements
- Increase efficiency across every department
Quality Assurance
- Ensure every project meets Aquazen's quality standards
- Review documentation and project close-out packages
- Reduce warranty work and callbacks
- Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives
Leadership
- Mentor project managers, coordinators, and field supervisors
- Conduct performance reviews
- Develop KPIs
- Build accountability throughout the organization
Procurement & Inventory
- Manage purchasing
- Improve supplier relationships
- Reduce material waste
- Maintain inventory control
- Coordinate equipment maintenance
Financial Performance
- Monitor project profitability
- Review labour productivity
- Track operational KPIs
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
- Improve gross margins through operational excellence

Qualifications
Required:
- 7+ years of leadership experience in construction, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, service, manufacturing, or industrial operations
- Experience leading multiple field crews
- Strong scheduling and resource management experience
- Experience managing budgets and operational performance
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to make decisions under pressure
- Valid Ontario driver's licence
Preferred:
- Mechanical or plumbing industry experience
- Project Management certification
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience
- Experience with field service management software
- Experience developing operational KPIs and dashboards
Success in Your First Year
Within 12 months, you will have:
- Built a highly organized scheduling system
- Standardized operational procedures across all divisions
- Improved project efficiency and consistency

Pay: $70,852.59-$85,000.00 per year
