Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the restaurant.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as needed.
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Help maintain equipment and utensils in good working condition through regular cleaning and maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience of at least one year as a line cook in a restaurant or food service setting is required.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and cuisines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- A passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
