Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, fostering student development, and implementing engaging instructional strategies. This role requires strong communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a commitment to supporting diverse learners, including children with special needs and disabilities. The Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to ensure each student’s academic and social success.
Duties
- Develop and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in English, French, or other subjects.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports children’s emotional, social, and academic growth.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Assess student progress through observations, tests, and assignments; provide constructive feedback.
- Foster effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a collaborative educational atmosphere.
- Utilize computer skills and classroom technology to enhance instructional delivery and record keeping.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies and organizational skills.
- Support students’ individual learning plans and coordinate with specialists when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum updates.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting; classroom experience preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education, special education, or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills—verbal and written—and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate leadership within the classroom environment.
- Proficiency in computer operation and use of educational software or tools.
- Childcare experience is advantageous; passion for fostering student growth is essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $28.00-$29.00 per hour
