General Labourer – Event & Tent Installation

3-Week Contract | $20.00/hour | Full-Time Hours
Muskoka Event Services is hiring General Labourers for a 3-week contract during our busy event season.
This is a physical, hands-on position working with our installation crews to set up and tear down large events throughout Muskoka and surrounding areas.
Duties
- Set up and take down commercial event tents
- Install flooring, staging and other event infrastructure
- Load and unload trucks and trailers
- Move tables, chairs and rental equipment
- Assist with custom event builds
- Organize and secure equipment for transportation
- Perform general physical labour as directed by crew leads
Hours
- Typically starting around 8:00 AM
- End times vary depending on the day's workload
- There is no guaranteed daily finish time
- Long days and overtime may be required
- Applicants must have good availability throughout the 3-week contract
Pay
$20.00 per hour
All hours are paid through payroll.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation to work
- Dependable and punctual
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying event equipment
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to work long and physically demanding shifts
- Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew
Assets
- Construction, landscaping, moving, roofing or other physical labour experience
- Valid G driver's licence
- Experience driving trucks and/or trailers
- D or A licence
- Previous event or tent installation experience
This is initially a 3-week contract, with the possibility of additional employment for strong, reliable workers.
