ABOUT STEMbotix
STEMbotix delivers hands-on AI, robotics, and coding programs that help kids and youth build real confidence with future-ready technology. We run workshops, camps, and after-school programs with schools and community partners across Fort McMurray and the Wood Buffalo region.
THE ROLE
We're looking for an energetic, reliable Robotics Trainer to lead engaging, hands-on AI, robotics, and coding sessions for youth (ages 4+). This is a part-time / casual role with hours scheduled around workshops, camps, school-break programs, and community events. It's a great fit for someone who loves working with kids and gets excited about technology.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Facilitate fun, hands-on robotics, coding, and AI-literacy sessions using STEMbotix kits and curriculum
- Set up and pack down equipment and materials before and after each session
- Keep activities safe, inclusive, and age-appropriate for mixed age groups
- Support participants through building, coding, and troubleshooting challenges
- Encourage teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving
- Represent STEMbotix professionally with schools, community partners, and families
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Comfort with robotics, coding, or general tech (block-based coding, simple electronics, robotics kits) — or a strong willingness to learn our platform
- High School Students with school Robotics experience
- Experience working with children or youth (teaching, tutoring, camps, coaching, mentoring, etc.)
- Confident, friendly, and able to keep a group engaged
- Dependable, punctual, and organized
- Able to travel to program locations around Fort McMurray
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
