Position Summary
Reporting to the Security Manager, the Resort Security Officer plays a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional environment throughout the resort. This position combines security responsibilities with guest service support, acting as a visible presence in high-traffic areas and providing assistance to guests, residents, members, and team members.
Typical Schedule: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Occasional overnight shifts (8:00 PM – 6:00 AM) may be required to provide coverage for overnight security operations.
Key Responsibilities
Security & Safety
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout designated resort areas.
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of assigned zones.
- Monitor resort activity and respond to safety, security, and guest service concerns.
- Assist with incident investigations and complete accurate incident reports.
- Respond to guest, resident, and team member requests for assistance.
- Ensure public spaces, facilities, and amenities remain secure and safe.
- Assist with emergency response situations, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and evacuation procedures.
- Complete nightly security reports and activity logs.
- Perform closing security procedures for resort facilities as required.
Guest Service & Operational Support
- Provide exceptional guest service while acting as an ambassador for Predator Ridge Resort.
- Support Front Desk operations by responding to guest requests and assisting with after-hours concerns.
- Assist the Bell Team and Valet Team during peak periods.
- Provide support to Food & Beverage outlets as required.
- Assist with resort shuttle operations when operational needs require.
- Help coordinate guest transportation and wayfinding throughout the resort.
- Build positive working relationships with all resort departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Communication
- Communicate professionally and effectively with guests, residents, members, contractors, and team members.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
- Escalate concerns to management when appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence is required
- Basic Security Training is an asset or willingness to obtain.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in security, hospitality, law enforcement, or guest services is considered an asset.
- Occupational First Aid Level 2 or willingness to obtain.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
