Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. This role involves designing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, supporting children's social and emotional growth, and collaborating with families and staff to ensure a positive learning experience. Bilingual skills in English and French are highly valued, along with experience working with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities. The ECE Teacher will play a vital role in promoting early childhood development through innovative teaching methods and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining detailed records of developmental milestones
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities, share best practices, and ensure classroom organization
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in compliance with licensing regulations
- Demonstrate leadership in guiding children through learning activities while managing classroom routines efficiently
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is required; experience with special education or children with disabilities is a plus
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development theories, and classroom management techniques
- Ability to operate basic computer/ Software applications for documentation and communication purposes
- Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently
- Demonstrated time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities effectively
- Leadership qualities to guide children positively and foster a collaborative team environment
- Writing skills for maintaining accurate records and communicating progress clearly
