We are looking for an Mechanic Shop Assistant to work in our equipment maintenance shop, along our Big Sky Rail. This position is based out of Delisle, SK (20 minutes west of Saskatoon on Highway 7), and the successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager and our team of mechanics.

Specific duties may include:
- scheduling inspections
- monitoring inventories
- organizing work lists
- loading and unloading trucks
- organizing equipment manuals
- tracking project information
- coordinating contractors and couriers
- ordering and purchasing parts/supplies
- pick ups in Saskatoon
The ideal candidate will:
- have previous experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- have high attention to detail
- have a positive attitude toward safety
- be willing to keep an open mind (tasks will not be the same every day)
- be optimistic and solutions-orientated
- be organized and methodical
- be tech-savvy (we use lots of apps)
- be responsible and diligent
- be ok with some after hours calls and/or work
- confident using various equipment such as forklift or skid steer
- have a valid Driver’s License
- railroad and/or agricultural background is an asset
