The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented and hands-on Executive Chef to lead our culinary program. This role is ideal for a creative leader who is passionate about seasonal cuisine, wine pairing, and building a strong, motivated kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all kitchen operations with a focus on quality, consistency, and efficiency
- Develop and execute seasonal, wine-driven menus using local and sustainable ingredients
- Collaborate closely with winery leadership on food and wine pairings, events, and experiences
- Manage food costs, inventory, and supplier relationships
- Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain a positive, high-performance culture
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Oversee private events, weddings, and winery experiences
- Oversee private events, weddings, and winery experiences, including events of up to 200 guests
- Execute a variety of large-scale service styles, including canapé service, chef-attended carving stations, buffet service, and plated dinners
- Lead and coordinate kitchen teams during high-volume events, ensuring clear communication, effective delegation, and smooth service execution
- Develop event-specific menus that complement the winery’s wines, seasonal offerings, guest expectations, and event requirements
- Coordinate preparation, production, staffing, station assignments, and service timelines for events
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a premium or high-volume setting
- Experience leading culinary teams through weddings, private events, corporate functions, winery experiences, and large-scale events
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Passion for farm-to-table cuisine and local sourcing
- Experience with menu development and cost control
- Knowledge of wine pairings and winery or vineyard dining is a strong asset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
