We are seeking a talented and experienced Florist to join our team. YOU MUST HAVE PROFESSIONAL FLORAL DESIGN EXPERIENCE.
The ideal candidate has experience as a professional floral designer, has worked in a floral shop, has strong work ethics and works well independently while being a committed team member.
Our shop is a combined gift basket and flower shop. You will be responsible for day-to-day activities of the shop including customer service/order taking, floral design, gift basket creation and maintaining shop and flower cooler displays.
Only those with strong floral design skills and experience working in a flower shop will be considered for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Design and create floral arrangements and gift baskets for various occasions
- Assist customers in selecting the perfect floral or gift basket designs for their special occasion
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the flower shop
- Maintain floral cooler with ready to go arrangements and floral storage
- Maintain gift basket inventory and process supplier shipments received
- Process orders taken by phone, in person, email and website
- Process and arrange deliveries and communicate with delivery personnel
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with the team to process orders efficiently and to meet sales goals
Qualifications:
-Strong experience in the floral industry with strong floral design skills, floral knowledge and wholesale ordering of flowers
- Passionate about customer service and customer satisfaction
- Strong English communication skills to interact with customers and suppliers effectively by phone, in person and by email
- Experience in retail sales and customer service
- Ability to sell products and upsell based on customer needs
- Passion for floral design and creativity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks and maintaining attention to detail
- Must have stamina to stand for long periods, carry and lift products
- Must have vehicle for occasional pick up of flowers or specialty items for gift baskets
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet, Email, Scanning, Troubleshooting)
- Flexible work schedule
- Positive and pleasant personality, team player
Strong floral design skills as well as strengths in customer service, being a team player and computer skills are a must for this position.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
