Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer to join our team and assist with various building and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will support skilled tradespeople by performing physical tasks, handling tools, and ensuring the smooth progress of construction activities. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to high-quality project outcomes.
Duties
- Assist with the use of hand tools and power tools for various construction tasks
- Support carpentry, framing, and demolition activities as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to assist in project execution
- Perform caulking, painting, and restoration work to prepare surfaces for finishing
- Support plumbing, welding, flooring installation, and tile laying tasks under supervision
- Help with the setup and cleanup of job sites to maintain safety and organization
- Assist with the installation of flooring, tiles, and other finishing elements
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure work environment
- Support team members in moving materials and equipment around the site
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience or relevant training preferred but not required
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic construction techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings is a plus
- Knowledge of carpentry, caulking, restoration, painting, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, or tile laying is advantageous
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and adhere to safety standards
- Reliable transportation is preferred but not mandatory depending on site location

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
