Duties
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other confections, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with artistic designs using various techniques and tools
- Handle food preparation tasks such as mixing, assembling, and packaging products for sale or delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and ingredients
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service to assist customers with product selections and inquiries
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are upheld during all stages of production
- Support team members in food industry operations to ensure smooth workflow during busy periods
- Must be comfortable appearing in photos and videos for social media content.
- Must be willing to support our social media content creation and marketing team when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or food preparation within a restaurant or bakery setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Strong skills in kitchen operations, including food industry best practices for hygiene and safety
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or delivery is a plus
- Basic cooking skills combined with creativity in cake decorating are highly desirable
- Prior restaurant experience or kitchen experience will be considered an asset
