We are a premier hospitality group behind the award-winning Adrak restaurants, as we expand our portfolio, we are launching a new flagship dining destination in Toronto's Financial District. We are seeking a Head Sommelier to lead wine service and support the execution of a structured beverage program.

Position Overview:
The Head Sommelier will oversee daily wine operations, cellar organization, and guest-facing wine service.
This role combines leadership, operational discipline, and guest engagement, ensuring wine service is executed with consistency across both lunch and dinner service.
This position will work closely with leadership and the beverage team to support the development and long-term success of the wine program.
Responsibilities:
- Lead wine service across daily lunch and dinner operations
- Manage cellar organization, wine storage, and inventory control
- Support wine list execution and periodic updates
- Provide tableside wine recommendations and pairing support
- Train and educate front-of-house staff on wine knowledge and service techniques
- Ensure proper wine handling and service standards
- Support private dining and corporate guest service requirements
- Maintain strong organization and inventory accuracy
- Assist leadership with purchasing coordination and supplier relationships
- Support the integration of wines that complement South Asian cuisine
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Sommelier in fine dining
- Strong foundational knowledge of classic wine regions and varietals
- Formal wine education (CMS, WSET, or equivalent) preferred
- Strong guest engagement and communication skills
- Leadership ability and team training experience
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Experience supporting restaurant openings is an asset
- Knowledge of Indian wines, or demonstrated interest in learning and working with emerging wine regions, is considered an asset
Preferred Knowledge Areas (asset, but not mandatory):
- Familiarity with wine pairing strategies for spice-forward cuisines
- Exposure to Indian wines and producers
- Understanding of how acidity, tannin, and structure interact with layered spice profiles
- Interest in building a wine program that reflects both global classics and emerging regions
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
