Roofing Estimator /Assembly and Project Manager — Contract Position

Premium Roofing is an established commercial and residential roofing company in Kelowna with steady bid volume across the Okanagan. We're looking for an experienced individual to take on our estimating and project management.
The work
- Takeoffs from drawings and specs for commercial and residential roofing projects
- Building the full roofing assembly for each project — right system, right components, built to spec, code, and manufacturer requirements
- Pricing the complete job — materials, labour, equipment, subs — into a finished quote
- Running the projects you've quoted: material ordering, scheduling with our foremen, site visits, work orders, change orders, and client/GC communication through to closeout
Who this suits
Someone who knows roofing at a level crews can't argue with — likely a former foreman, superintendent, or estimator who now works independently. We need reliable turnaround on bids and someone our foremen can call when a job hits a problem. Specifically:
- Deep hands-on knowledge of roofing systems: Shingles, Metal, SBS, TPO, EPDM, and Tiles
- 10+ years estimating and/or running roofing projects
- Confident with drawings, specs, bid documents, and takeoff software
- Strong on the numbers: margin, waste factors, labour production rates
- Okanagan-based preferred, but not required
- Valid driver's licence. Red Seal and RCABC familiarity are assets
- Workload varies with bid volume — expect meaningful, ongoing work, not scraps
- You'll work directly with the owner.
