The Receptionist & Safety Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for employees, customers, visitors, and vendors at the Windsor branch while providing administrative and coordination support for the Company's health and safety programs. This role acts as the liaison between the Company's third-party safety consultant, internal Safety Director, branch management team, and field employees.
Reception & Administrative Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, employees, customers, and vendors.
- Answer and direct incoming calls.
- Manage mail, couriers, and correspondence.
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and visitor access.
- Support branch administration and filing activities.
Safety Administration & Coordination
- Maintain training records, certifications, and safety documentation.
- Coordinate training and renewals.
- Support onboarding safety requirements.
- Track safety statistics and prepare reports.
- Coordinate safety meetings and documentation.
Incident & Claims Administration
- Assist with incident reporting and investigations.
- Maintain incident tracking logs.
- Support WSIB administration and modified work documentation.
- Follow up on corrective actions.
Compliance & Audit Support
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Monitor compliance requirements.
- Track corrective actions and safety initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience.
- Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification (Part I & II) is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requirements.
- Familiarity with WSIB claims administration, incident reporting, and return-to-work processes is considered an asset.
- Experience maintaining safety training records and compliance documentation is preferred.
- Construction or safety administration experience is an asset.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
