Summary
The Retail Purchasing Coordinator is directly responsible for coordinating the movement of purchased products from suppliers and addressing any supply/supplier issues, negotiations, sales and turnover and monitoring analytics.
Job Duties
- Prepare, analyze, and negotiate Requests for Proposals (RFP) with suppliers.
- Manage apparel vendors and develop strong relationships.
- Analyze vendor and product reports weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually to ensure proper stock levels, product turns and forecasting.
- Monitor industry trends.
- Create strategic assortment in each category to meet the demands of the business.
- Completes top level seasonal buys to ensure optimal productivity by style, and reacts to trends in-season.
- Evaluate competition.
- Replenishment following budget, guarantee optimum stock levels and meet turnover goals and proper allocations to our retail stores.
- Make recommendations for aged inventory exit strategy, markdowns and monitor.
- Utilize inventory control measures for cycles of incoming and outgoing inventory, utilize Capacity Planner and be aware of warehouse requirements.
- Monitor pricing, cost changes, duties and margins meet our requirements at all times.
- Clear communication and timely follow up with Vendors and Head Office.
- Recommend new items and negotiating as required.
- Gathers new product and training information for stores and works closely with Brand Ambassador to update staff as required before launch.
- Maintains and updates import costing.
- Work with customs including preparing and submitting all customs documents for shipments as required.
- Other tasks as required.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
