Nurse Practitioner – Unique Practice-Building Opportunity | Peterborough, ON
Are you a Nurse Practitioner with an entrepreneurial mindset — but not necessarily interested in building an entire clinic from the ground up?
NPACC Nurse Practitioner Acute Care Clinic is looking for a motivated, independent Nurse Practitioner to help launch and grow a new NPACC location in Peterborough.
This is not a traditional salaried NP position.
It is an opportunity for the right Nurse Practitioner to build a practice within an established and growing clinic model — with the infrastructure, brand, systems, and operational support already in place.
NPACC opened its first location in St. Thomas in May 2025 with a simple goal: provide timely, accessible nurse practitioner care without the long wait. Since then, the clinic has grown significantly, expanded into a second Ontario community, and demonstrated a clear demand for rapid-access, fee-for-service NP care.
Now, we're looking for the right NP to bring NPACC to Peterborough.
The Opportunity
The successful NP will become the primary Nurse Practitioner at NPACC's Peterborough location and have the opportunity to grow the clinic's presence in the community.
You choose your availability and build a schedule that works for you.
NPACC provides the foundation.
We take care of:
- Furnishing and setting up the clinical space
- Clinic branding and established NPACC systems
- Online booking and practice management infrastructure
- Administrative and booking support
- Payment processing
- Marketing and advertising
- Website and online presence
- Patient communication systems
- Established clinic policies, forms, and workflows
- Ongoing operational support and mentorship from an NP who has personally built the model from the ground up
You focus on providing exceptional patient care and building relationships within the Peterborough community.
Compensation is based on a 70/30 revenue split, with the Nurse Practitioner receiving 70% of patient visit revenue and NPACC retaining 30% to support clinic operations, infrastructure, administration, and growth.
Who We're Looking For
This opportunity will not be the right fit for every Nurse Practitioner.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly motivated and self-directed
- Comfortable working independently
- Entrepreneurial and excited by growth
- Passionate about improving access to healthcare
- Confident providing acute and episodic care across the lifespan
- Willing to become visible and engaged within the local community
- Patient and realistic about what it takes to build a new clinic location
- Excited to contribute ideas and help grow something meaningful
Most importantly, we need someone who understands that building a practice takes time.
There may be quiet days and sparse bookings in the beginning. The right person will not be discouraged by this. They will understand that patient trust, community awareness, and referral relationships are built over time.
NPACC will actively market and support the Peterborough location — but we are looking for an NP who shares the same drive to see it succeed.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
Starting an independent NP clinic can mean developing a brand, finding and furnishing space, creating policies and consent forms, choosing technology, establishing booking and payment systems, learning marketing, building an online presence, and trying to attract patients — all before providing a single appointment.
With NPACC, that foundation already exists.
You have the opportunity to experience the autonomy and growth potential of private NP practice without having to independently build every operational component from scratch.
This is an opportunity to help establish NPACC in a new community and potentially grow alongside the clinic as the brand continues to expand.
If you have ever thought, “I would love to do something entrepreneurial with my NP career, but I don't know where to start,” this may be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
