Job Overview
The Automotive Tire and Lube Technician works in a fast-paced Automotive environment. Key responsibilities include oil and lube service, tire installation, tire rotation and balancing, and light vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Prior automotive experience is not required, and training is provided on-site. Sponsored education through BCIT is available for individuals seeking a Red Seal certification.
Position Details
- Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00, based on experience
- Location: Squamish, BC
- Shifts: Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday 8:00AM - 5:00PM,
Requirements
- Valid BC drivers license
- English language working proficiency
Responsibilities
· Performs lube, oil and filter changes.
· Remove, install, rotate and balances tires.
· Maintains company and personally-owned equipment and tools, as required.
· Completes other tasks, as required.
Experience
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment is crucial for success in this role.
Physical Demands
· Standing/walking for 8 hours.
· Lifting and/or carrying of parts and tires on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis.
· Lifting and turning repeatedly throughout the shift. Lifting above the shoulder, from floor to shoulder and floor to waist.
· Walking and carrying things at the same time and pushing/pulling, as required.
Twisting, turning, reaching and working above shoulder level.
