Eassons Transport - A key member of the Kentville team, the Dock Worker will safely and efficiently load and unload freight. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Dock Worker will be instrumental in providing hands on support to ensure product is handled with care to meet our customer requirements.
CORE DUTIES:
Follow company procedures/policies for properly and safely loading and unloading freight
Safely operate a forklift to load and unload freight
Count and inspect condition of freight
Ensure proper weight distribution and load configuration of trailers when loading
Review freight documents for accuracy
Participate in training programs
Perform duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism
Other admin duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant post-secondary education or a combination of related education and experience is required
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and maintain balance for extensive periods of time
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder and horizontally
Forklift experience would be considered an asset
Ability to work in freezer temperatures
Effective communication in English, both oral or written
