Job Summary
Our growing ecommerce business delivers quality products to retailers and restaurants, focusing on exceptional customer service. We are seeking a Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks on-line expertise. This is a critical requirement as proficiency in on-line QuickBooks is essential for performing tasks including order management, customer service and data entry.
This part-time position is approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, spread over 3 to 4 days, with occasional extra hours if needed. This role requires the ability to work independently. Our external accountant may provide guidance on complex accounting maters if needed.
**Primarily remote with occasional in person visits.
Role Description
- Full cycle part-time bookkeeper with on-line QuickBooks
- Payroll, Payroll tax, WSIB, HST payments
- Process payments
- Create and send purchase orders to vendors
- Provide excellent customer service by email and phone
- Reconcile bank, credit card and Paypal and similar statements
- Perform other administrative and supportive tasks
- Some order entry
Qualifications
- Proficient in on-line QuickBooks specifically in A/P, A/R and bank and credit card reconciliations and general accounting, with 5+ years experience
- 4+ years experience in Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective phone and customer service and problem solving abilities
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent English written and spoken skills
- Perform administrated tasks as needed
- Attention to detail and accuracy with ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Software used: On-line QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Google Drive
- General knowledge of office apps
- Emailing
