Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender/Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional customer service in a lively restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. This position requires a strong focus on food safety, responsible alcohol service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Duties
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely service of food and beverages
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standard recipes and safety guidelines
- Use POS systems to process transactions, handle cash, credit card payments, and receipts accurately
- Serve food items with attention to presentation and customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar and dining areas, adhering to food safety standards
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously while providing attentive service
- Assist in setting up and breaking down service stations before and after shifts
- Engage with guests to create a positive dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly
- Follow all food handling and safety procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant or food industry preferred; familiarity with serving and bartending duties essential
- Italian Food Knowledge Apprecaited
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables or bar orders efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Hospitality background or experience in serving alcohol is a plus
- Must be at least 18 years old (or age required by local regulations)
- We have 2 locations - Etobicoke and Davisville.
