About the Role
Weco Waste Solutions is hiring a Swamper to support our vacuum truck and roll off operations out of Squamish, BC. This is a hands-on field role working directly alongside experienced drivers on commercial and industrial waste jobs. Safety is our number one priority — every shift, every job site, no exceptions. What You'll Do
- Assist drivers with vacuum truck and roll off truck operations, following all safety protocols at every step
- Spot trucks during placement, pickup, and maneuvering on job sites — ensuring the area is clear and safe before any movement
- Support thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any safety concerns
- Maintain a safe, organized, and hazard-free work environment on and around the truck at all times
- Use and maintain all required personal protective equipment (PPE) on every job
- Communicate clearly with drivers and site contacts, including flagging any unsafe conditions immediately
- Follow safety procedures and WorkSafeBC requirements without exception
What We're Looking For
- Candidate to be located in or near Squamish, BC
- A genuine commitment to safety — for yourself, your crew, and the public
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willing to work shift work and 12-hour days
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Previous experience in waste hauling, vacuum truck, or roll off operations is a strong asset
- Knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and job site safety standards is a strong asset
- Familiarity with traffic control, ground disturbance, or hazardous materials awareness is an asset

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
