Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing and cooking food items, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensuring food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with meal preparation and plating for service
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware promptly to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Handle food with care to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Assist in inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs
- Support the team during busy service hours by ensuring timely food delivery and efficient workflow
Skills
- Experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of food service operations within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Excellent attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff members
- Basic kitchen experience including dishwashing, cleaning, and basic cooking techniques is preferred
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
