Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and support overall oral health education. Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleanings, scaling, and polishing of patients’ teeth
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
- Assist with patient examinations and record keeping using Tracker or similar dental management software
- Provide care tailored to pediatric patients when required
- Ensure patient comfort and address their concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain sterilization protocols and infection control standards in accordance with OSHA guidelines
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient practice operations
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the province of practice
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required
- Prior experience in a dental office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry is advantageous
- Ability to work well within a team environment and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
