Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing theft or vandalism, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. Prior law enforcement experience or familiarity with surveillance technology is highly desirable.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to oversee all areas of the property
- Enforce security protocols and access control procedures to prevent unauthorized entry
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations
- Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information while ensuring security policies are followed
- Conduct loss prevention activities by observing for theft or vandalism and intervening when appropriate
- Report any security breaches or safety concerns to management immediately
Qualifications
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and loss prevention techniques
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail in identifying potential threats or hazards
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure during emergency situations
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, visitors, and law enforcement personnel
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including nights or weekends if required
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or safety are a plus
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
