Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Restoration Estimator to prepare accurate estimates and project documentation for residential and commercial restoration projects. This is an office-based role that does not require site visits. The Restoration Estimator will work closely with project managers and operations teams to support water, fire, mold, and reconstruction projects through accurate scoping, estimating, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed restoration and reconstruction estimates using photos, scans, reports, and field documentation
- Create estimates for insurance and private-pay projects using Xactimate or similar estimating software
- Review mitigation scopes, drying reports, floor plans, and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness
- Submit supplements, revisions, and supporting documentation as required
- Assist with invoicing support, job costing, and profitability tracking
- Ensure estimates align with insurance requirements, industry standards, company pricing, and best practices
- Coordinate with project managers and operations teams to support accurate project handoff and execution
- Maintain organized digital records and estimate documentation
- Identify missing information or scope discrepancies and follow up with the appropriate team members
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and documentation standards
Qualifications
- Experience in restoration estimating, construction estimating, or insurance-related estimating preferred
- Working knowledge of Xactimate
- Understanding of water, fire, mold, and reconstruction processes
- Knowledge of insurance claims procedures and industry pricing standards
- Ability to accurately interpret photos, sketches, Matterport scans, and technician notes
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based file management systems
- Experience working with insurance claims is considered an asset
Preferred Skills
- IICRC knowledge or restoration industry experience
- Familiarity with Symbility or other estimating platforms
- Knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods
Work Environment
- Full-time in-office or remote/hybrid position, depending on company structure

Pay: $58,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
