Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight and other materials across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle heavy equipment and freight efficiently. Duties
- Safely operate DZ licensed trucks for local and regional deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate transportation of freight.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with freight handling, including securing loads and verifying shipment accuracy.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance or coordinate repairs with automotive repair specialists to maintain optimal truck performance.
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle inspections.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations.
Skills
- Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with commercial driving and freight transportation.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment used for loading and unloading cargo.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments.
