We are currently seeking a licensed Beginner Driver Training Instructor who is patient, safety-focused, and committed to providing high-quality driver education. In this role, you will provide professional in-vehicle instruction, helping students build the skills, confidence, and knowledge required to become safe and responsible drivers.
As a Beginner Driver Training Instructor, you will provide one-on-one in-vehicle instruction to students preparing for their G2 and G road tests. You will create a positive learning environment, adapt your teaching style to meet individual learning needs, and promote safe driving habits while ensuring all instruction meets Ministry of Transportation (MTO) standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional in-vehicle driver training to students.
- Teach defensive driving techniques, Ontario traffic laws, and safe driving practices.
- Prepare students for their G2 and G road tests through practical instruction and coaching.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Adapt training methods to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain accurate student records and lesson documentation.
- Schedule lessons and communicate professionally with students.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles remain clean, safe, and roadworthy.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Ensure all instruction complies with Ministry of Transportation (MTO) requirements and company standards.
- Represent NATT Group professionally at all times.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development as required.
Qualifications:
- Current Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) Driving Instructor Licence (required).
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence with a clean driving abstract.
- Minimum of four (4) years of licensed driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Previous experience as a driving instructor, trainer, coach, or educator is preferred.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, approachable, and comfortable working with diverse individuals.
- Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and maintain accurate records.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as required.
- First Aid/CPR certification and bilingualism are considered assets.
